Man's Problem - Every Person Is a Sinner

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." The basic problem is that none of us are qualified to enter into Heaven. Everyone is missing something required to enter into God's abode: righteousness. A sin is a violation of God's rules and principles set down in His Word. We all do wrong sometimes. Except for Jesus Christ, no one is or ever was perfect. Anyone who thinks they are sinless is just kidding themselves.

You see, people are not sinners because they sin. People sin because they are sinners. Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; so that death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

God's Solution - Christ Died For Our Sins

Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Even though there is nothing you or I can possibly do to avoid going to Hell when we die, God made a provision for us. He loved you and I so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to pay the penalty for our sins. This means WE DON'T HAVE TO GO TO HELL WHEN WE DIE. This is good news! As a matter of fact, the Bible calls this good news "the gospel of the grace of God."

Our Responsibility - Faith

I Corinthians 15:3-4 - "But I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures;" You cannot prevent yourself from going to Hell. Only God can do that. The only way you can avoid Hell is to respond to God's good news by simply believing it. That's it! There is NOTHING else you can do! Simply trust in the fact that Christ died for your sins and rose again.

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." You see, religion, philosophy, charity, prayer, and any other thing that people do to obtain favor with God are totally useless. He already did everything that could be done - His Son died for our sins.

TRUST THAT CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN!!!

Once you make this decision, no one can prevent you from going to Heaven when you die. You are eternally secure and have a guaranteed place in eternity with God! Romans 8:38-39 - "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
